Role overview:
Assembly & Volcano Coffee Works are seeking a new addition to our production team based full time in West Norwood.
As a Hybrid role we are looking for someone with an instinct for troubelshooting and great coffee and operational knowledge - roasting experience not entirely necessary but a knack for operating systems and processes will be key to be succesful in this role.
The succesful candidate will be resposible for 50% of our combined output in roasting covering numerous house coffees, regional, international and customer specific blends and products using a fleet of Loring Roasters (70, 35 and 15).
Alongside the production roasting role there will be regimented days of assisting on all packing lines (automated and manual) accross the B2B nd D2C division so consistency and efficieny is key here.
• Roasting coffee as per specifications with a 99% success rate • Ensure all roasted coffee is input into inventory management systems • Maintain roasting equipment in line with specifications • Wear appropriate PPE and maintain appropriate SALSA records • Receive and store raw materials • Maintain a high level of cleaning standards of both green and roasted coffee in line with relevant food and health & safety standards
Essential requirements
This role forms part of the Production Team and must possess a flexible attitude towards work. Specific skills, education and experience desired for the role include:
• Computer literate • Strong communication skills • Common sense, critical thinking and a sharp eye for attention to detail • Ability to safely handle heavy loads • Level 2 food hygiene for manufacturing (training provided) • First aid – training provided • Experience using forklift preferred, ideally holds forklift licence (training provided)
